The Complete Guide To Descriptive Profile Essay Writing
During your high school years you will be required to write different types of essays. Some of them are easy, some of them are incredibly hard but they all have something in common: they require dedication. Now, even if you are not so good in literature, you can still write a good piece if you pay attention to the instructions and you work hard enough. Fortunately for you, a descriptive profile essay is very easy and it can be done in a few hours of hard work. Here is how to do it:
- Choose the perfect topic. If you ask me, this is the most important and the most difficult part. There are so many interesting things to write about, that you don’t know which one to pick. Well, why not go for something that you already know very well? In a descriptive essay you need to offer your authentic perspective regarding one particular thing. Even if it’s a place, an object or a person, you need to know it perfectly if you want to describe it in good way.
- Provide enough details. In many cases you will be required to get straight to the point and forget the details, but not here. When it comes to a descriptive essay, you have to make people imagine the object that you describe, therefore you need to tell them every single detail of it. This is a reason why most of the students fail in this task: they don’t know how to make everything so detailed without getting boring.
- Use all the senses. Do not stop at saying “the water is blue”. You need to talk about everything around, so they can actually feel that they are sitting next to the water. Mention the smell of grass that you feel, the shadow that comes from the trees and so on. Believe me, if you do this right they will forget that they are in class for a few minutes. Be creative and original and you will succeed.
- Use different expressions. And by this, I mean that you can use analogies, nice adjectives and expressions in another language to describe better that specific item. This will help the reader create a bigger picture inside his mind, and it will make your professor appreciate you. It’s not hard, but it does take a lot of originality.
